White Ginger is everywhere

We worked hard in 2013 helping Tom’s dad get back on his feet, finishing up professional work and getting our stuff together to move onto our farm.  We were terrible at communicating with our friends, always waiting for a rainy day to create our website, but the rain rarely came.  We detest Facebook, but succumbed to using it to share pictures.  Sucked into its vacuum, we discovered Betty White was right:  “Facebook is a terrible waste of time.”

2014 brings a single resolution: communicate better.  We’ll not let the work we do go undocumented any longer!  Hopefully more of  you will be inspired to visit us for a while so you can enjoy the awesome beauty we experience every day, whether it’s sunny, pouring rain or some combination of the above.

Our camera got waterlogged in our backpack after a recent 2 day rainstorm which overfilled our 3 gallon paint-bucket rain gauge in less than 36 hours.  We just had to go hiking to see the nearby gulch that flash floods during this sort of storm, but forgot to wrap the camera.   It’s about 1/4 mile to the gulch: just enough for the camera and daypack to suck up all the water that fell on us from the trees.
